A variety of things

I want to profess my love and obsession over menswear. Each time I shop with friends, I find myself spending more time looking at the mens section than the ladies WHEN window shopping. Of course when I have to get clothes then I would try at most the basics area. Prints are hard to match and kinda bold and daring. I only buy prints cos they are unique but I seldom wear them.

Menswear always has this raw and uncut and untrimmed and denim kinda factor which I find very appealing. I love denims. You know? Not the british dandy style but the streetwear kind. Reading Hypebeast simply fuels my interest and curiosity towards streetwear. Amazing how they can command such loyalty from streetwear fans just like an underground cult brand.

Jap streetweat is really the bomb. Its so crazy I fantasize myself being a guy wearing their clothes. Check Uniform Experiment, Undercover, Junya Watanabe and White Mountaineering. They are a few of my favourite menswear brands which of course I can't afford at this point of time. haha

Went to the Home Club and Timbre yesterday to celebrate my baby's birthday. It was a thursday, not a clubbing night and there werent anybody in the club which was simply great! The dance floor was ours for the night with the exceptions of a couple of random ppl joining from time to time.

I realllly enjoyed the music that night. It was something so good I haven't heard for a long time. the kind which you just want to hold both of your hands up and look retarded and dance and couldnt care much. So I did a simple google search a wala! Found out the genre of music that night. It was a fine mix fix of minimal, tech house and techno. Minimal sounds great live. Will most definitely go back there again(:

Oh and I forgot to say Happy Chinese New Year to all! Ok not all but one haha! HI CHENYIN:) Received my angbao money..just wondering if I should save it? Or use it to buy a pair of chuck taylor..or the art pictorial I've always wanted. Its really crazy cos I went Kinokuniya today and they told me they only have a browsing copy at the Taka store. That means I have to wait 4-6 if I really were to make an order. Sucks..but its not a big deal waiting if I were to buy it. I cant decide..shoes OR art pictorial??

The pictorial is a really epic publication by Taschen. Its 80 bucks for two volumes, even the staff told me that its a steal. Speaking of which, I think Kinokuniya's staffs are very friendly!:) Anyway its called 100 Contemporary Artists go check it! ed asked me to think about it for a month before doing anything rash like I always do..oh man.

Something random, go read Primo Levi's If this is a man. I havent read it yet because I have yet to finish 1q84. But I cried when I watched the review of the book on Youtube. Its all very real and gets you thinking. About how exterminating a race can be so organized and systematic. About how humans are viewed as commodities to be made use of till death and how they are stripped of all moralities and reduced to become sub humans. About religious issues of how Primo Levi went in as an Atheist and surviving Aushwitz also as an Athiest. very compelling book, not an easy read and its quite an agony to read such a book. but just let me finish my 1q84
